RICHMOND CO., GA (WTOC) - A high-profile murder case is back in court almost a quarter century after the murder of Randy Kicklighter outside his home off of Quacco Road.
Kicklighter's then father-in-law Christopher Lucas was convicted of hiring the shooter - a conviction later upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court.
Tuesday's hearing in Richmond County Superior Court was ordered by the high court last year. It was in response to an earlier judicial dismissal of a retrial petition without a hearing - though this is that hearing.
Lucas asked that he not be required to attend.
