BCSO: Stabbing suspect turns himself him

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

A Hilton Head man wanted in connection with a June 20 stabbing at a south end apartment complex has been arrested.

Oskar Jadeszko, 24, who was wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, turned himself in on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

At about 10:30 p.m. June 20, Jadeszko stabbed of 31-year old Shaun Olechnowicz  in the neck at the The Dunes apartments.

Olechnowicz told deputies that he and Jadeszko had been in an argument earlier that evening at the Tiki Hut, according to the sheriff's office. The argument continued when the two men returned to the apartment of another friend. Jadeszko pulled a knife, slashing Olechnowicz in the neck, according to the sheriff's office.  

Olechnowicz was transported to a Savannah hospital for emergency medical treatment of a life-threatening neck injury. He has been treated and released.

Jadeszko called requesting to surrender to the outstanding warrants for his arrest, and was taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff's office.
