It's looking like Savannah-Chatham County school superintendent John O'Sullivan might be staying. School board members met in a closed-door meeting today. Next week they're expected to approve the extension of O'Sullivan's contract. The Savannah Federation of Teachers is endorsing O'sullivan. They say they would like the school board to keep him around.
"He has an open-door policy, sometimes with an appointment, sometimes without an appointment, you can always go in there and talk with him," said the group's Alfreda Goldwire. "That has not always been the case in previous years."
Right now, the school board is still trying to hash out a few things with O'Sullivan, including his salary.
