CEMA to end Signal emails

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Chatham Emergency Management Agency will no longer send CEMA Signal emails. 

The last day for CEMA Signal emails is Aug. 15. CEMA Signal emails alert Chatham County residents about road closures, meeting announcements and general preparedness tips. 

CEMA will continue to have CEMA Signal on its website. It will is utilizing a variety of communication tools including email alerts, Twitter, Facebook and the CEMA website.

CEMA Signal emails alert Chatham County residents about road closures, meeting announcements and general preparedness tips. CEMA will continue to provide that information on the CEMA website, www.ChathamEmergency.org, and on Facebook. 

CEMA Alert emails will continue. Those emails have emergency details on hurricane advisories and major events that impact Chatham County. Residents can sign up for CEMA Alert emails at the agency's website. www.ChathamEmergency.org.

CEMA recommends that the community follow them on Twitter. The CEMA Twitter handle is ChathamEMA and like them on  Facebook at this page.
