HILTON HEAD, SC (WTOC) – If you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Much like the old saying, Lowcountry youth were given the unique opportunity to join professional football players in the 3rd annual Practicing with the Pros football workshop.
The camp, organized by Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Nevin McCaskill and former Baltimore Raven Brian Johnson, drew nearly 50 participants, with pros from both the NFL and IFL, along with coaches and athletes from college football.
"The guys love it," McCaskill said.
"Anytime I call and ask for coaches to come and help me with the camp, it's never a problem because they know how much fun we're going to have, and they know that this is where it starts."
The day included a mix of football drills and classroom sessions.
