SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The Coastal Empire Council Boy Scouts are set to host Summerfest 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 25 at the Savannah Civic Center.
This Career Exploring event is centered towards high school aged youth that are enrolled in the Explorer Post or Venture Crew programs.
Explorer Post and Venture Crew groups from all over the state will come together to participate in career related competitions and workshops, physical challenges, and activities.
Activities will include rock wall climbing, rope climbing, and a scavenger hunt.
Workshops will include First Aid and CPR training for those interested in health science, college prep for those interested in engineering, and videotape and photography for those interested in communications and marketing. Other workshops will also be available for those interested in law enforcement or becoming a firefighter.
