Sharks keep hockey alive in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – Hockey in Savannah.  It's not exactly something you see everyday.

Twice a week?  Well, that's a different story.

An area team, known as the Savannah Sharks, gathers bi-weekly at the Lake Mayer hockey rink to "work out all the week's aggression," and have a good time among friends.

The team is made of up doctors, fathers, and serviceman who share a mutual love for the sport.

"This is our lives," said Sharks player Paul Lucas.

"We love the game.  This is pretty much our only outlet."
