Guilty Verdict in Post Office Slaying

The jury has spoken and they say Meier Brown is guilty of killing 48-year-old Sallie Gaglia. She was a postal clerk in Fleming, in Liberty County.

Police say Brown walked into the small post office to rob the place and ended up stabbing Gaglia. Investigators say Brown was also from Fleming and he knew the victim. Because Brown committed the crime on federal property, prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
