New Benedictine coach, Danny Britt, arrives with a mandate to turn the Cadets football program around. He takes over a team that has lost 14 of their last 15 games. It will be a tough task, but the players are catching on fast.
Oh, yes, sir, this year is going to be a lot better. A lot of our younger players are getting older, getting experience, a good amount of seniors coming back.
It was a little tough at first, just trying to get used to it all. We've all gotten used to the new system and everything.
The players have adjusted, they've adjusted well. I think it's a good system for our personnel.
The Cadets will run a more physical Pro-I offense this season and Coach Britt says the players adapting quickly.
Spring was very important to us to get all of that in. What we've done the first day is gone back to the very, very basics and make sure we're doing that right. If we're not, anything else is going to be useless anyway.
The players can't wait to begin a new season to prove to others they are better than they have been in recent years.
Oh, very anxious. Since the last game of last season I was ready for the season to begin.
Ever since last season, we've worked very hard in the weight room this summer and we're ready to hit the field.
