YEMASSEE, SC (WTOC) -

More than 100 women left Yemessee as part of reality show that will air on Lifetime called "The Week the Women Went".

WTOC returned to Yemassee to find out how the men got along on their own. The men worked together on a community project to overhaul the town's train depot.

Paula Flowers is back to work after spending a week on vacation while her husband and son were left to run her business.

Flowers said it was an experiment to see how ment would react to taking on the role of women in business and at home.

It was documented by Lifetime Television as part of a reality show.

So the big question? How did the men get along?

Ronald Stanley said the women were missed.

"It was a little hectic," said Stanley.

"'I know the guys that didn't have their wives around they missed them very much," said Stanley.

"I would say our town was probably turned upside down, and it will be interesting to see what took place because no one is talking about it - you really don't know. I just can't wait to find out what happened here," said Flowers.

Not all the women left. Emily Ratliff, the executive director of Yemassee Revitalization Corp., helped coordinate.

"There were times I was biting my nails and checking the clock and see if we [were] ahead of schedule or on schedule," said Ratliff.

Many of the women said that when they returned home, many were in tears they couldn't believe the men were able to do this project in just seven days.

"I don't see how that was accomplished in seven days. I really don't. But it was, and it's beautiful," said Flowers.

Lifetime expects the series to air sometime in the fall.
