11-year-old shoots boy with BB gun

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A 13-year-old boy has been taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center after attacking an 11-year-old with a BB gun and stealing his bicycle, according to Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police.

The mother of the 11-year-old called police to the Carver Village neighborhood after her son reported being shot with a BB gun by another child.

The 11-year-old told police after he dropped the bicycle and ran, the older boy chased him onto the porch of a house in the 1200 block of Carr Street where he fired at him again, pulled him into an unoccupied house and shot him several more times before riding away on his bicycle.

The 13-year-old was arrested moments later in the Cloverdale subdivision off Stiles Avenue with the BB gun in his possession.

    The two passengers of the white sedan, an adult male and a small child, were airlifted to a trauma hospital in Savannah. Officials on scene confirmed that the child was not restrained in a car seat, and was not wearing a seatbelt.
