Fort Stewart Freedom Walk
It commemorates the attacks on America on Sept. 11, 2001, and represents a day for Americans to commit themselves to the preservation of freedom. Citizens are asked to stand united with members of the Armed Forces; local police, fire, EMS and other first responders; veterans, scouting and ROTC cadets.

A church in Rincon is holding a candlight ceremony. Event details
The Youth Choir of Southside Baptist Church, Savannah, Georgia will peform a concert to honor those who died in the Sept. 11 attacks. The concert will include the National Anthem, a time of silence, a trumpet player playing TAPS, and the release of 300 red, white, and blue balloons, which represent all those who died 10 years ago in New York City, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. The names of everyone who died will also be presented. Jeffery Blevins, associate pastor for Worship at Southside will conduct the program, which will last 55 minutes.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police, Savannah Fire and Southern District of Georgia U.S. Attorney's Office are sponsoring a Tenth Anniversary Memorial to the citizens and emergency responders who perished in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

At 8:46 a.m. Sunday, all CAT revenue vehicles will pull their vehicles out of the flow of traffic and park. The drivers will stand outside of their buses for a minute in a moment of silence.
Congressman Kingston will serve as the keynote speaker commemorating the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, hosted by the Savannah Holy Church of God. The church is located at 707 Little Neck Road in Savannah.

Congressman Jack Kingston will participate in Tybee Island's Patriot Day commemorating the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The event is being held at Tybee Island's Memorial Park on Sunday, Sept. 11, 4 p.m.
The city of Sylvania is holding a memorial service on the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the U.S. At the times the attacks took place, bells will toll from the First Methodist Church. The observance will include a special prayer, scripture readings and music.

The Estill/Black Swamp United Methodist churches, Estill Presbyterian church, & Lawtonville Baptist church will hold a service of remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001. The Fire, Police & EMS will have their equipment on hand to show to the community after the service. Estill town officials will also be in attendance. The fire department will have their safety smoke house available for the kids to go in. Bring a chair with them if you wish to sit during the service.
