SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life on Wednesday afternoon to free a driver from a vehicle at Jefferson and Henry Streets.
The crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. when a white, Buick sedan collided with a tan, Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to Savannah Fire and Emergency Services. Both the car and pickup truck crashed into a utility pole. The pole snapped off about 3 feet above the ground and landed on top of the Buick.
The traffic light and power lines laid across the intersection as firefighters worked to free the 31-year-old driver, according to SFES.
The woman was then taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
