OKATIE, SC (WTOC) -

Palmetto Animal League's thrift store is scheduled to re-open at a new location on Sept. 15.

In order to prepare for the move, the highway 46 location was closed and the new location prepped for the move. Transporting the inventory is taking place this week and PAL anticipates being open for business by September 15.

The new location at Sheridan Park will be called renamed Palmetto Animal League Thrift. There will also be easier access and parking, according to PAL.

Proceeds from the thrift store will continue to benefit the work of PAL in providing a second chance at life for the animals in our Adoption Center (Riverwalk Business Park in Okatie).

Donations of gently used furniture, appliances and other items, as well as financial donations, are accepted. Call 843.837.MEOW to schedule a pickup or for more information.
