POOLER, GA (WTOC) -
A mom is calling on others to help her locate her missing son.
Jacob Olivier, 23, disappeared during his visit at the Everglades National Park in South Florida.
Olivier, who used to live in Pooler, has not been seen or heard from since he went to the park on Aug. 24.
Park authorities and law enforcement agencies did an extensive search of the everglades for clues for over a week but came up empty handed.
The search first began after park officials found his 1998 green Isuzu pickup truck parked near the Pine Glades Lake area.
His mother Laurie Broussard remains hopeful he is still alive.
"I hope to hear from him or that someone can positively confirm he is alive and well, so we know he is out there and alive," said Broussard.
Olivier is described as a white male, who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
If you have seen Olivier or know of his whereabouts can contact Broussard directly at 912.856.2267 or by email at cajungirl67@yahoo.com.
