Firefighters to compete in Combat Challenge

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Southeast Georgia Firefighter Combat Challenge takes place Sept. 17.

Firefighters from Georgia and nearby states will compete in two male/female teams. Challenges include: of climbing a five-story tower, raising a hose five stories, stricking a keiser sled, pulling a fire hose through a course and ending with dragging a dummy.

It takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Savannah Mall. The entry fee is $25 per firefighting team. The event is free to spectators. There will be children's activities and refreshments.   

Live bands including Cee Cee & The Creeps & Just Chillin will perform. There will also be a vehicle extrication demonstration by Hunter AAF Fire Department, Helicopter, fire engine displays. K9 unit, Bikini Nation Girls, Hooter Girls, Ft. Stewart Fire Safety House, Information Booths will also be on hand.
