GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) - A Glynn County man has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of his mother on Friday night.
Glynn County police responded at about 10:12 p.m. Sept. 16 to 7975 New Jesup Highway on a report of a stabbing.
Officers found 51-year-old Vivian Lott dead from multiple stab wounds. Robert Long, 56, was found stabbed in the chest and Melani Houston, 18, had been stabbed in the back, according to police.
Eric Marroquin, 29, Lott's son, lived with his mother and girlfriend, Houston, according to police. Long didn't live there.
Marroquin left the scene in Long's 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to police.
The truck was spotted by Officer Jerry Herndon at about 11:45 p.m. Friday. A chase started and ended on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Third Avenue, when Marroquin crashed the truck into a tree and ran, according to police. He was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Long and Houston were treated and released from the Southeast Georgia Health System.
Marroquin was charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of tools during the commission of a crime.
