4 arrested in Port Royal robbery

PORT ROYAL, SC (WTOC) - A man was robbed in the parking lot of the 11th Street Dockside Restaurant in Port Royal.

Joseph Greene told Port Royal police that he was in the parking lot of Dockside Restaurant waiting to meet an acquaintance by the name of Christopher Howard.

Police said Christopher Howard and Robert Hunt, Lindell Bonney and Kenneth Jenkins pulled up in a blue Dodge Caravan. As Greene approached minivan to meet with  Howard, Bonney stepped out of the minivan, pointed a gun and told him to walk to his car, according to police.

Greene refused at first and proceeded to his vehicle. Greene was told to open the trunk of his vehicle and turn over all his money. Greene gave Bonney $35 from his pocket, according to police.

Bonney went back to the minivan and it left the scene. Greene called police.

Beaufort police pulled over a minivan matching the description at Southside Boulevard and Battery Creek Road.

Police said Greene identified the individuals involved. They were arrested and charged with armed robbery.
