Governor appoints new paroles board member

ATLANTA (WTOC) - The Georgia Pardon and Paroles Board has a new member.

State Rep. James Mills is the first man appointed to the board by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Mills is a Republican has served nearly two decades in the Georgia house. He will replace Gale Buckner whose term expires at the end of the year.

Mills will begin on Jan. 1.
