RINCON, GA (WTOC) - Clean up is under way Monday after strong winds took trees and power lines down in Effingham County, but more rain is expected.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory until 2:30 p.m. The advisory was issued for minor flooding of poor drainage areas in southeastern Bryan County, south central Chatham County, southeastern Liberty County and northeastern McIntosh County.
Rincon city workers are cleaning up storm debris from Sunday's severe weather.
The heaviest damage was in the Rincon area off of Reese Way and Layne Avenue near Fort Howard Road.
Large trees toppled over onto homes and cars and many homeowners are also dealing with tree limbs snapped in half.
Some areas reported downed power lines.
