CEMA to test emergency siren this week

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Chatham Emergency Management Agency will conduct the monthly scheduled test of the county's emergency warning siren system at noon on Oct. 5.

If there are poor weather conditions such as rain or overcast weather, the siren test will be canceled.

During the test, Chatham County residents will hear a three-minute emergency siren from various locations around the county. The monthly test is to ensure that the siren system is functioning properly.
