Savannah Tech collects bras for breast cancer awareness

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah Technical College is collecting bras in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The bras will then be donated to O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln, who has promised to donate $1 per bra to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The whole idea started at the Liberty County Savannah Tech Campus.

"You know people that it may affect or other types of cancers people deal with so we figure it's just a little part to help for the cure," said Terrie Sellers, Dean of Student Affairs.

Bras can be dropped off in Savannah at 5717 White bluff Road and Crossroads Parkway, in Effingham at Hwy 21 in Rincon, at Fort Stewart Army Education Center, and at the Liberty Campus on Airport Road in Hinesville. The college is collecting through Oct. 21.
