STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Two women have been charged in connection with a fight on Saturday.
Bulloch County sheriff's deputies responded at about 1:51 p.m. Saturday to a 114A Hodges Circle on a report of an assault.
Deputies spoke with Brittany Brandyburg and Jennifer Trejo who lived together at the residence.
Brandyburg was in the process of moving out with the help of others when she and Trejo started arguing and then fighting. During the fight, Trejo struck Brandyburg on the head with a hammer, according to the sheriff's office.
Brandyburg was treated at the scene and refused to be taken to the hospital. Deputies interviewed more witnesses. Trejo and Brandyburg were then taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
They were charged with one count of affray (public fighting). Trejo was also charged with aggravated assault. Neither of them has been granted bond.
