SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Members of Widespread Panic stopped by Portman's Music Superstore on Oct. 3 for a special in-store performance. The band is in town to play a few concerts and to help raise food for America's Second Harvest.
"Our whole tour for the 25th year anniversary, our main goals was to go ahead and have the fans bring canned goods to all of our shows," said Domingo Ortiz, Widespread Panic percussionist.
"It's something we've been doing it for about ten years. It just means a lot. Try to help locally. So many people try to help globally, which is a great thing, but it's kind of nice to help out in your own back yard," said Todd Nance, Widespread Panic drummer.
Widespread Panic will play two sold out shows at the Johnny Mercer Theater later this week.
