SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Oct. 8 - Bar Crawl fund-raiser LoganaCon. The crawl will start at Pinkie Masters at 2 p.m. and it will move to a different location every 30 to 45 minutes. Bracelets for the event are a $20 donation to CASA in my name at the website above. www.dancingwithsavannahstars.org
The bracelet will get you drink specials at each bar, food at Pinkies, Kevin Barry's and McDonough's along the route. There will be complimentary jello shooters and a scavenger hunt. Find a mini poster for the Roast of Don Logana and win a free drink. There will be a poster at each bar. Several taxi cab drivers have offered to give free rides home for anyone who has a bracelet, but tips for the driver are appreciated.
Oct. 14 - Roast of Don Logana fund-raiser. It will be held at the Bay Street Theater on the third floor of Club One. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at about 8 p.m. Mike Cihla will be the roastmaster. Several of his closest friends will be making fun of Logana as part of the comedic event. Roasters include Brooke Kelley and Josh Hunt, former WTOC reporter Hena Daniels. Ginger Fawcett from Liquid Ginger wrote a parody song and many others. Tickets are $25 and are on sale at www.clubone-online.com . Admission price includes door prizes, complimentary cocktails and raffles.
Oct. 28 - Superhero and Princess Halloween Carnival at Leoci's Trattoria. The family-oriented Halloween park takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. All proceeds go to CASA. Admission is $30 per family of up to four children. Each additional child is $5. Included in the admission will be pizza, soda and lots of candy. Leopold's Ice Cream will have a vendor booth. There will be facepainting, balloon artists, karaoke, music and caricaturists. Spiderman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Batman, Miss Piggy and a few princesses will be on hand to greet children. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police will be doing free fingerprinting and McGruff the Crime Dog. He'll lead the Halloween Costume parade around the neighborhood at 7:30 p.m.
