RINCON, GA (WTOC) - Angel Wright is happy to be alive after Effingham County Sheriff's Deputies say Michael Pollett burst into the Mictrotel Inn and Suites in Rincon and attacked and robbed her.
"My first instinct told me he is trying to kill me so I thought I would have to fight for my life," Wright said.
Surveillance video shows a man attacking Wright and repeatedly shocking her on the face.
"The taser was held to the left side of my face for two minutes. I have stiches and got thrown to the floor like a piece of trash and I was tased over and over again," Wright said.
Wright says she blacked out and woke up screaming for the motel owners.
"I banged on their door and yelled for help. The first thing they told me was to calm down and they said I was having a bad dream. I had to tell them that it wasn't a dream...we just got robbed," Wright said.
Effingham County Sheriff's Deputies searched the area and arrested Pollett within thirty minutes.
"After his arrest it was found he still had the cash on him, a stun gun, and a large knife," Major Scott Lewis said.
And then angel's second shock of the day...the alleged attacker was her friend.
She says Michael Pollett worked with her at the motel. She says she even trained him and nicknamed him Mickey.
She can't understand why he would hurt her.
"I forgive him. I'm going to pray for him but I didn't deserve what he did to me," Wright said.
Deputies say when they searched Pollett they found the drug Spice.
He is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
