Students put finishing touches on YMCA mural

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Some students picked up paint brushes and put the finishing touches on a new mural at the W. Broad St. YMCA Oct. 4. They have spent about two weeks creating the masterpiece but are still adding a few more animals and meaning to the project.

"The animals in that world are looking at the observers, so you feel included like you're pulled into the painting. It's children, adults and families together, interacting with each other. It's like a subliminal message of communication, connection and family," said Francesco Montefiore, artist.

They are almost finished with the mural. WTOC will be checking in to see when it is complete and will let you know when you can see it for yourself.
