CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The eastbound ramp on the southwest bypass to Georgia Highway 204 was tied up after a truck rolled over onto its side Wednesday morning.
At about 9:13 a.m., a Sea Coast Security Shredding truck was on the eastbound ramp to 204 when the driver lost control, and the truck turned over, according to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police.
The driver was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. A small oil spill ran into the marsh below.
Police said the U.S. Coast Guard and the hazmat crew with Savannah Fire were notified.
The ramp was closed for a couple of hours.
