Man Convicted for Third Rape

A Savannah man who was convicted of two rapes in the 1980s has been convicted again on similar charges. Tracy Hardin was sentenced to consecutive terms of 20 years for burglary, 20 years for aggravated assault, life for kidnapping, life for rape and life for sodomy without the possibility for parole yesterday in Laurens County. The charges stem from a home invasion that occurred on October 5, 2002.

Dublin district attorney Ralph Walke said several women from Savannah testified, which helped them convict Hardin.
