Savannah named top 10 food and wine destination by Trip Advisor

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah was ranked among the top 10 food and wine destinations on Trip Advisor, the world's largest travel website. The winners were determined by traveler's reviews.

Joe Marinelli, President of Visit Savannah, credits hometown celebrities like Paula Deen as well as new chefs and restaurants. He expects the latest award will attract even more people to the Hostess City.

"We really think so, especially as we head in to the fall season. We expect that it will certainly motivate travelers to come out and experience the wonderful cuisine from our area here," said Marinelli.

Other cities among the top 10 are New Orleans, Charleston, New York City, and Las Vegas.
