Savannah Folk Music Festival to start on Friday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Tom Chapin, musician, entertainer, singer-songwriter, storyteller, and brother to singer Harry Chapin is coming to town for the Savannah Folk Music Festival. There will be plenty of local talent as well.

Chris Desa, from the Folk Music Society, stopped by Mid Morning Live Oct. 5 to show off one of the hand painted Gretsch guitars that will be auctioned off at the event. The Gretsch Company is a longtime supporter of the festival that is funded by the City of Savannah Dept. of Cultural Affairs.

The festival will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All events are free and open to the public. Visit for more information.
