Fifteen homeless after fire spreads quickly

HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - The Red Cross says 15 people were displaced after fire ravaged a building at Magnolia Place Apartments in Hinesville.

Neighbors say the fire broke out around noon and spread quickly.

Everyone made it out safely, but neighbors say one cat was killed in the blaze.

"It's devastating to think everything you have is lost. All your memories are gone," neighbor Jennifer Hughes said.

Firefighters are still trying to determine what sparked the blaze.

Neighbors packed up their things and tried to save what they could Thursday night.

"I'm thankful my daughter wasn't here and I'm so glad nobody was hurt," Jordan Malwich said.

Firefighters are still investigating what sparked the blaze.
