SCAD hosts free gallery hop, artist talks

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah College of Art and Design is hosting a gallery hop and artist talks.

The gallery hop will feature showcased artworks include film, large-scale paintings, bold collages and sculptures and black and white photography.

At 3:30 p.m. Friday the Pei Ling Chan Gallery at 322 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. will feature a Akomfrah artist talk. From 5 to 6 p.m., there will be a Trenton Doyle Hancock artist talk at the Gutstein Gallery at 201 E. Broughton St.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m., the gallery hop takes place at these locations: Gutstein Gallery; Pei Ling Chan Gallery; Pinnacle Gallery; Alexander Hall Gallery; shopSCAD; and Working Class Studio at 235 W. Boundary St.

Refreshments will be provided in select galleries, and free shuttles will be running between all stops. Participants may join the gallery hop at any of the gallery locations. It's free and open to the public.
