Metro Mounted Patrol give their horses pink hair extensions

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro is going pink in October for breast cancer awareness month. The Metro Mounted Patrol has even given their horses pink hair extensions.

The extensions are aimed at helping raise awareness for those who have won and lost their battle with breast cancer.

WTOC caught up with the officers to see what kind of response the extensions have been getting.

"We've gotten honks and high fives," said Ann Sosby, Mounted Patrol Officer.

The hair extensions will remain in the horses' manes until the end of October.
