MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) - Seeing a police car on Shellman Bluff Road in Townsend is very rare, according to neighbors. But that changed Friday evening when McIntosh County Police say someone found the body of Shante Alford, 20, of Brunswick, was found in a shallow grave Friday evening. It's believed the body was there for two or three days.

"It's very surprising to know such a thing like that could happen in this community because everybody here stays to themselves. This is a quiet town," said neighbor Dorothy Jackson.

On Alford's Facebook page, she described herself as being a "mother-to-be".

Officials say they are looking for murder suspect 33-year-old Louis Ortiz. He is a black male standing 5'9" and weighing 150 pounds with gold teeth and a tattoo on his neck of a cat black with "G Money" written next to it.

Anyone with information is asked to call the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office at 912-437-6623.
