SCAD's 'Improv' kicks off Oct. 13

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah College of Art and Design's Department of Performing Arts will open their 2011 – 2012 season with IMPROV!, an improvisation and sketch comedy show featuring SCAD students.

The performance runs from Oct. 13 to Oct. 16 at the Mondanaro Theatre at 217 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

IMPROV! is being directed by Professor David Storck, the former artistic director at Gotham City Improv in New York.

Last year, SCAD launched its new improv track, a series of classes designed to hone the student's ability to think and perform on his or her feet, according to the college.

Tickets are $10 for general admission; $5 with a valid SCAD ID; and free with valid SCAD ID on Oct. 13 only. To reserve tickets and for more information, call 912.525.5050.
