SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Saint George's Episcopal Church had to move their Annual Blessing of the Animals event indoors Sunday evening because of the rain, but it was still a success.
Pets of all kinds attended, including dogs, cats and a bird. The event was held in honor of Saint Francis, the Patron Saint of animals.
"It's important to show the connectedness between all of creation," said Reverend James Parker. "Creation is not all about humans and it's not all about just animals. It's about the fact that we are in a relationship with each other."
Treats for animals and humans were handed out. They also had face-painting for the children.
