BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with two burglaries and two vehicle break-ins that occurred over the weekend in University Park.

Cameron Andrew Letzinger and Ryan Matthew Lawrence, both 18, were arrested Sunday morning. They were charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and breaking into a motor vehicle.

Just after 3 a.m. Sunday, Beaufort County sheriff's deputies responded to College Park Circle on a report of suspicious activity. The caller told the sheriff's office she saw a silver Nissan Altima with three males pull up in front of a neighbor's home. They then went behind the house, carrying out items and left the area, according to the sheriff's office. The witness knew the neighbors were not home at the time and she got the vehicle's license plate.

A deputy spotted a vehicle matching the description on US 278 near Sawmill Creek Road. The car was pulled over. The driver, Letzinger, admitted that he, Lawrence, and another person broke into two garages and two vehicles in University Park, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies recovered property that was identified as stolen from the vehicle.

Letzinger told deputies that he had dropped Lawrence off at his home after the burglaries. Deputies responded to Woodbridge where they located and arrested Lawrence. More stolen property was recovered from Lawrence's home and vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Letzinger, Lawrence, and a third suspect who has yet to be identified, had first burglarized the garage of a Student Union Street home, according to the sheriff's office. They broke into the two vehicles parked inside and stole various small electronics, according to the sheriff's office. The garage of the College Park Circle home was also burglarized, in which gasoline and black gunpowder were stolen.

Investigators believe they may be connected to several other local area burglaries, and more charges could be coming, according to the sheriff's office.

Those with information to contact either Investigator SSgt. A. Viens at 843.255.3406 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843.524.2777.
