Town hall meeting set for Oct. 26

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The city of Savannah is hosting the last town hall meeting for 2011 at 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

Mayor Otis Johnson plans to use the Oct. 26 meeting to reflect on the last eight years, and residents will have an opportunity to address city government leadership. Issues raised by residents were followed up by city staff and findings were reported at the next town hall meeting, according to the city.

Regular town hall meetings initiated by Johnson were a first for Savannah, as were public State of the City addresses, which are given during the first town hall meeting of the year, according to the city.
