EMANUEL CO., GA (WTOC) - The search for an escaped state prisoner is moving from Toombs County into Emanuel County.
Authorities are searching for Fredrick Newton. He was convicted of aggravated assault and should be considered dangerous.
They're searching along Racket Town Road near the Toombs-Emanuel County line, where a woman reported someone broke into a shed overnight and broke into a church kitchen nearby.
Newton ran away from Indian Ford Farms on Wednesday. That's where the state's inmates grow food for Georgia's prison system.
Residents who live in that area say they are not taking any chances.
