METTER, GA (WTOC) - Metter's downtown park will be filled with friends of an injured teen, and plenty of fresh barbecue, burgers, dogs and more.
Dalton Olliff was critically injured Sept. 25 in a two car accident that also killed one of his classmates, Adam Holland. Olliff was eventually taken to Atlanta for treatment and recovery. He and his family now face massive medical bills.
Now, friends and others in the community plan to cook plenty Friday and Saturday to raise money to help with those bills.
"We'll be here from 10 a.m. until all the food is gone," assured family friend Julie Oliver, one of the event's coordinators.
In addition, they're opening the event to any other vendors who'd like to add to the attraction and help with the cause.
"They can come and set up a booth or something and donate whatever they can," Oliver added.
