SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Good news for one historic Savannah neighborhood that is celebrating its 275th birthday on Saturday!
Festivities on the Isle of Hope got started early in the morning with a parade along Bluff Drive.
There was also food, entertainment, and activities for the children, plus reenactors from Wormsloe with historic photos and videos.
Local artists also hosted an art show at the marina.
Isle of Hope residents say, "we've got posters on every house of the Bluff, telling the history of the house, who's lived it, showing what the house looked like a long time ago. A lot of work." "It's truly a neighborhood you feel a part of something." "Isle of Hope is a unique community it's like a small town and everybody out here knows everybody else."
Several local and state politicians joined folks on Isle of Hopefor the celebration.
