Texas hold 'em aims to end world hunger

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Pizza Hut employees are doing more than serving pizza this weekend. They're also trying to end world hunger.

The DeRenne location hosted a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament on Saturday at the Courtyard Marriott on Abercorn Street.

All of the money raised will go to the World Food Program.

Amy Coury, Pizza Hut's General Manager says, "it's a great feeling because today our buy-ins are $20 and for every dollar we raise we feed four children, so for every buy-in we're feeding 80 kids."

Pizza Huts across the country are holding similar fundraisers. The DeRenne location has already raised more than $1,400. Last year they raised more than any other pizza hut.
