Police look for suspect after shooting victim dies after crash

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating the death of a Savannah man who was found in his wrecked car with gunshot wounds early Monday morning.

Rashaun Bernard Howard, 26, was found on Bulloch Street between West Victory Drive and West 42nd Street at about 4:45 a.m. after residents in the area reported hearing a loud crash. Responding officers found his car had run into one parked on Bulloch and that Howard had been shot. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detectives canvassed the area attempting to determine where the shooting took place. The westbound lanes of Victory Drive were closed Monday morning for about an hour as police investigated the crime.
