Students celebrate Armstrong Day

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Armstrong Atlantic State University hosted Celebrate Armstrong Day on Oct. 19. The festivities ran from noon to 6 p.m. in the Student Union Residential Plaza.

AASU student organizations and academic departments had more than 70 booths at the event that marks Armstrong's history. There was live music, food, games, a talent show and a hot dog eating contest. Junior Justin Kriske says he's proud of his school. "It's really exciting to see all of the different organizations coming together. The energy is amazing."

The day wrapped up with an open mic jam session. The Campus Union Board offered students free personalized dog tags and photo favors.
