Chatham Co. jail administrator to speak at fund-raiser

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Col. Terry L. Enoch, administrator of the Chatham County Jail will be the keynote speaker at the annual Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Empire's Annual Steak and Chicken Dinner and Charity Auction.

Enoch is a former Boys & Girls Club member. WTOC's Brandi Cummings will host the event.

The dinner will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Savannah Station. Dinner tickets are $50 each; tables of eight are $ 500.Other sponsorships are; Premier Sponsor: $5000, Sustaining Sponsor: $2,500, Supporting Sponsor $1000.   

The event is a celebration of founder Frank Callen. This year's event will feature steaks and chicken dinners sponsored by the downtown Outback Steakhouse.

    COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Lee County Sheriff's Department and EMS officials responded to a call about a man who was found to be unresponsive during a hunting trip.  51-year-old Edward Martin Jr. was found Friday night around 7 p.m. at the bottom of a tree he was posted at while hunting.  The Lee County Sheriff's Department and EMS made it to the scene at 7:41 p.m. and pronounced Martin dead at the scene.  Officials say it appears he fell from about 18 to 20 feet to ...
