Poker run to help fight diabetes

Savannah Harley Davidson is hosting the first Poker Run for the 2011 Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes campaign for the American Diabetes Association.

The Poker Run will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Harley-Davidson at #6 Gateway Blvd., West.

The registration begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with the first bike out at 10 a.m. and last bike in at 2 p.m.

Participation for this entertaining and memorable event is $15 per hand or $25 per couple. Lunch will be provided by Shane's Rib Shack. All proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association.

    Tybee Island residents came together on Saturday for the 6th and final Tybee Prom. This year's theme was Swan Song and the night's colors were silver, black, and white. There was a large crowd for the signature evening of music, dancing, eating and most importantly, raising money for animals.
