It doesn't matter where you go, if you waited this long to do your shopping, you're going to have to wait in line. But what if your kids want to see Santa? You can't afford to stand around for two hours waiting for a picture with old Saint Nick. We found a place that lets you do that last-minute shopping while waiting for the jolly old elf: Savannah's Oglethorpe Mall.
This year, Santa's pulled pagers out of his bag of goodies, allowing moms and dads to do some last-minute shopping and keep the little ones occupied. Which sure beats standing in line. "It's a lot better," parent Ray Collins told us. "You get a bit more done, and the kids don't get so aggravated. Then, when it's time to see Santa, they're actually happy instead of crying or ready to go."
Once the pager goes off, you're still going to have to wait in line about 30 to 45 minutes, but that really shouldn't surprise you because this time of year, Santa's a busy guy.
You still have one last chance to see Santa, but you'll have to go early. Santa's helpers will start handing out pagers at 9am.
