BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - A former deputy with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office was arrested Friday by agents with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Jason Andrew Meier, 39, of Bluffton, S.C., was charged with unlawful dissemination of obscene material to person under 18 Years of age and misconduct in office.
He worked as a patrol deputy from Dec. 12, 2008 and was fired on July 21, according to the sheriff's office.
Meier was booked at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
The arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by SLED at the request of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, according to SLED.
