317th Air Cavalry reunites across generations

A group still very much active on Hunter Army Airfield who fought in Vietnam gathered with older veterans who had served with 3/17th Air Cavalry for a special reunion.

The reunion, which was decades in the making, allowed Vietnam veterans the chance to share their stories of war and offer advice to younger generations of soldiers of the 3/17th Air Cavalry.

"Having these guys around gives us a face to these stories and traditions that we uphold today," says Anthony Fuscellaro, Commander of the 317th.

Rob Wolfe, a retired Army Brigadier General, says he hasn't seen his fellow soldiers in more than 40 years. "It's hard to identify some of them. They've gotten a little older and heavier these days," laughs Wolfe.

Wolfe says he hopes to have a positive influence and be a role model for younger soldiers.
